I am wondering if this can be revived due to the ban on Airbnbs in Kelowna, as more hotel rooms would be in demand :)

The first reading moved the project forward.
"Next steps will see council give three readings to the rezonings before adopting the bylaw changes. Once that is done, the developer’s would have their development permit applications considered."

Lime Architecture has initiated plans for this new apartment complex on Gordon Drive, with rezoning and development permit applications submitted on January 18 for addresses 1095 Martin Ave and 1443, 1444, and 1448 Gordon Drive. The proposal aims to transform the current RU4 – Duplex Housing zone into an MF3 – Apartment Housing zone, accommodating a six-storey building with 33 units comprising a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments.
39 parking spaces with 48 long-term and six short-term bicycle parking spaces. While details on amenity spaces are still in the early stages, the project promises a rooftop amenity space and 241.5 square meters of common amenity area.

A new article on Castanet about the lawsuit, apparently, a second one, both Mayor Tom Dyas and the city of Kelowna are sued. No updates on the first lawsuit filed in September 2023.
Key point in the case made by 350 Doyle Avenue Holdings and Centurion Appelt, is that Tom Dyas is a member of Kelowna Legacy Group (KLG). The group has different vision for the development site, and it's a conflict of interest. The city is confident that mayor and council acted in the best interest of the city and will defend it's position in court.
